Hello,
I am a 29 years old woman and currently in my first year in a 2 year MBA program. I was just diagnosed with ADD. My brother is also in graduate school and was struggling with what he thought was depression and his doctor diagnosed it. He suggested that I investigate as I have been struggling with depression since college. I was a very good high school student and ran cross country, making solid grades and doing well in sports. I went to a prestigious university and my life fell apart--I faced depression and had to take time off. I finished college but had problems finding a job that I liked and started working for start-ups in an account management role that seemed to support my personality. I am now in my first year of a two year rigorous business school program and have been facing depression and anxiety. I thought I had seasonal affective disorder and have blamed depression for my issues. I am in shock by this diagnosis and will be following up with my doctor to consider treatments. I would love to hear if medication has helped women cope with this problem or what alternatives there are. I am ready to do whatever it takes. I hope dealing with my ADD will help me live up to my potential in school and life.
Thanks for any information you can provide. best hp
