Hello, I saw this board didn't have any messages yet so I thought I would start it off. My wife and I are a lesbian couple who both happen to have ADD. I think we suffer from different aspects of it. While it's proven to be very difficult with both partners having ADD and unable to really help the other because of it, at the same time it's really nice that we can both understand what's going on with the other. I know another couple where only one partner has ADD, and the other finds it very frustrating and doesn't understand. So in that regard I guess we are very lucky, lol. We hope to learn as much as possible about ADD so we can help each other with it, and ourselves

My spouse doesn't have ADD so definitely gets to put the garbage out etc. but there is just some things that seem to be women's work as far as getting thing to go in the kids lunchboxes etc that he would never remember(selective!). We've been together 12 years now so I guess he's got a good feel for what I'm like and thankful we do complement each other mostly. I'm sure he would rather not be at the other end of my carrying on when things seem to be falling apart. But I think he would rather hear what I thinking (perhaps without the swearing) than try to guess whats in my head.
