I'm currently a college student at The Art Institute Online. Because I have student loans, I am only allowed 2 breaks in enrollment in the entire 4 year program, which is taking me 5 years. So I'm allowed to take 2 quarters off from school before they'll make me start paying my loans back. 2 breaks in 5 years?!?!?!?!?
I go nuts and break down at least once a year! After completing a full year of courses, I used my first break in enrollment...now I have about 4 years left and only 1 break left. IT SUCKS!!!!
I want to finish school and gain skills that will make me employable....but I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through to the finish line without taking a quarter off once a year.

Hello, First I would like to ask you if the college is aware of your illness/disability? When I was in college because I had disabilities I was able to have extended time on exams....and extra help. Maybe make them aware of what you need and what you suffer from and they can make a schedule that will fit you and your situation. They cant help you if they dont know what you suffer from. They cant hold it against you, and probaly will commend you for asking for assistance. Good luck! Melissa ;D
