Divorced and 45, with a 25 year old son. I live 2,000 miles from any family. I have no freinds, I can't ask anyone over, there is no palce for them to sit.
One of my major goals is just to be able to ask someone into my kitchen to have a cup of tea.
I graduated with a BA degree in math and science about 2 years ago.
I am glad to find a place where I may be understood.

Hey, Mary! Don't let your disorganization ruin your sociability - meet friends out for breakfast, lunch, tea, whatever. Surprisingly, my very closest girlfriends all score pretty high on ADD questionnaires, diagnosed or not (I think we're attracted to similar communication styles), so they're an understanding bunch. Hope all goes well!

It all makes perfect sense until I try to do it.

Mary, you ARE understood here. Wish I were closer, I would certainly understand your clutter. I'm in the midst of whirlwind cleaning today, getting ready for company on the 4th.

Bless your heart.......well, try a small step.......take a walk close by and then when you get home you will see you walk in with energy, take 5 minutes to organize. I found most of the stuff I had laying around cluttering my mind was projests to do in the future. So one day I said forget the future lets deal with today. So I got rid of 90% of the magazines, articles I tore out for projects, bags of unstarted crafts were put away, and I work on today only. A quick walk outside and then back in the house helps me, it doesn't matter if you walk arounfd the block 5 times, that is 25 minutes of organizing a day, and that is all you probably need.
