Hi Everyone
Like Rhonda, I have been referred to a psychiatrist for a diagnosis of ADHD. I will see him for the first time in two weeks. I, too, have only just discovered why I so many of the problems I have had are related to ADHD. It was such a relief for me to find this out at last. Then I felt sad that it wasn't diagnosed earlier as my life could have been made a lot easier. Oh well, better late than never.
I look forward to hearing what everyone else has to say on the subject. It's not that long ago that ADHD was only considered a childhood disorder. I heard that about 50% of children grow out of the disorder. I also heard that it is underdiagnosed in females. I hope that a lot more research is done on females in future.
Have many of you suffered depression and anxiety over the years? have any of I have been on antidepressants for many years, and they really help to even out my moods. I'd like to be able to come off them one day but I think I will wait until my life becomes a bit more stable.
Regards Julie
